How We Treat
A Four-Step Path to Complete Recovery
Our approach is built on precision, patience and genuine care - combining deep assessment with hands-on therapy and a structured return to the life you love.
Understand You First
Before any treatment begins, we take the time to understand your full picture - your condition, your surgical history, your pain pattern and your personal goals. A recovery plan built on guesswork is not a plan at all. Yours will be built on certainty.
Hands-On Healing
Joint mobilisation, soft tissue release, myofascial therapy and neural mobilisation - all applied personally by Dr. Shubhashini. This is where real change happens. Not in a machine, but in skilled, experienced hands that know exactly where to work and how much to push.
Rebuild Strength & Stability
Guided, progressive exercises that rebuild the muscles supporting your joint - improving stability, proprioception and movement confidence. Each session builds on the last, always calibrated to how your body is responding so we never go too fast or hold you back.
Return to Your Life
The final phase is not just discharge - it is returning you to the activities that matter. Stairs, walks, driving, playing with your grandchildren. We test function objectively, set a home maintenance programme and make sure you leave with the tools to stay well long after you stop seeing us.

What Recovery Looks Like
Life on the Other Side of Pain
This is what our patients tell us matters most. Not the clinical milestones - but the moments that remind them they are truly better.
Walk Without Thinking About Pain
The first time you walk to the kitchen, garden or market without bracing yourself - that is the moment we work toward from day one.
Climb Stairs with Confidence
Stairs, slopes and uneven ground should never feel like obstacles. We rebuild the strength and balance that makes them effortless again.
Return to Work & Daily Life
Whether it is your desk, your kitchen or your workplace, we get you back to functioning fully - not just managing, but thriving.
Be Present for the People You Love
Playing with grandchildren, attending family events, being independent at home. Recovery is not just physical - it gives you your life back.
FAQs
Questions We Hear Every Day
Honest answers to the questions our patients ask most.
Physiotherapy typically begins within 24 to 48 hours of knee or hip replacement - sometimes while you are still in hospital. Early movement is a critical part of modern recovery protocols. It reduces blood clot risk, prevents stiffness and significantly accelerates your overall timeline. We coordinate with your surgeon to start at exactly the right moment for your specific implant and approach.
This depends on the condition and your individual response. Fracture rehabilitation typically takes 6 to 12 weeks. Joint replacement recovery often spans 3 to 6 months for full functional independence. Spine and arthritis conditions are managed on a longer, ongoing basis. After your initial assessment, we give you a personalised timeline with clear milestones so there are no surprises.
In many cases, yes. Research consistently shows that a structured physiotherapy programme - focusing on muscle strengthening, movement retraining and joint protection - can significantly reduce pain and improve function in moderate osteoarthritis, sometimes delaying or avoiding surgery altogether. We will give you an honest assessment of whether conservative physiotherapy is the right path, and refer you appropriately if surgery is genuinely the better option.
Some discomfort during rehabilitation is normal - particularly when restoring range of motion after surgery. But there is a meaningful difference between productive therapeutic discomfort and unnecessary pain. Dr. Shubhashini works within your individual tolerance at every session, adjusting techniques and intensity accordingly. The aim is progressive improvement, carried out with care and respect for where you are that day.
No referral is required to book an assessment. However, if you have had recent surgery or hold imaging reports, please bring them to your first session. This allows us to tailor your programme precisely to the procedure performed, the implant used or the exact nature of your condition - avoiding contraindicated movements and accelerating your recovery safely from day one.
